Hi,
We are facing Database size issues on our Dev / QA XI servers. We have
noticed that since the beginning of this month there has been rapid
growth in the database. On investigating we found that it was table
SXMSCLUP that has been growing by more than 1 GB a day!
We regularly get CCMS alerts regarding high 'Page Ins'. Also the backup to disk fails due to 'Insufficient Memory Resources'.
I found some notes which indicate that this seems to be a common
problem. One such note is OSS# 774858 - XI 3.0: Check and correct
cluster tables. I executed the report 'RSXMB_DEL_CLUST_TABLE' as
mentioned in the note but it ran only for a few seconds and didn't do
much.
Also, upon looking at SXMSCLUP in QXI via SE16, there are only 11,380
entries. Can a table with 11380 entries take up 37 GB of space?
Any ideas as to how we can control this growth ?
Environment: XI 3.0, Windows 2003, Oracle 9.2.
Cheers
Kunal.
Hi,
Please check note 706478.
