SAP R/3 MMC is not starting up

Hello friends..

of late i installed SAP R/3 4.7IDES on my comp

with Oracle 8i as database and the java version is j2sdk1.4.2_13

The system worked foine for one day..

today when i try to startup the MMC. it is noit getrting started up..

im clueless as to where the problem is..

kindly help me out..

Just a couple of things to quickly check:

1)Are you out of disk space? (log files being created etc)

2)Is the system not starting due to lack of memory? (perhaps you installed some other programs?)

3)What other modifications have you made at the OS level since the install? (parameters like file handles etc)

4)How long are you waiting for it to start up?

5)Are you starting the components of the system in the correct order?

6)Have you fully rebooted since this issue started?

Let us know what you find out

Answers for ur questions:

Are you out of disk space?:

David :no the disk has lot of space.

Is the system not starting due to lack of memory?:

David : No programs were installed.

David : no modifications were made.

David : nearly 5 min

5)Are you starting the components of the system in the correct order?:

David :yes of course

6)Have you fully rebooted since this issue started? :

David :yes i did reboot since the issue started.

Which logs/traces are you looking in for errors?

hey kent,

when im starting the system the message server gets started but,the fallowing message appers besides disp+work icon in MMC

" dispatcher is running but message server is unreachable"

after some time both message server and dispatcher gets stopped.
