.cfs files size is increasing continuously on the BOXi server.

.cfs files size is increasing continuously on the BOXi server. How to stop the growth of these files, also please let me know deleting the current .cfs files will harm anything

    These are the index files for Platform Search. I would try a couple of things.

    In the Platform Search Application properties in the CMC:

    1. Set the Level of Indexing to "Platform Metadata".

    2. Under Content Types, uncheck any type that would just be present as an instance. Unless you're storing other types of documents in your system (for example, PDFs for documentation of specific reports), this means that the only things that would be checked are Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, and BI Workspaces.

    3. If you have the option (depends on which SP you're running...) check "Skip Instances".

    4. Finally, check "Rebuild Index" and save the configuration.

    Turning on Rebuild Index will delete the existing indexes and completely rebuild them. So, you might want to do this over a weekend because Search will not work in BI Launchpad until the index is rebuilt.

      Greetings, Now i have observed the results. It's rebuilding the indexing files. It's absolutely working file. Thanks for your inputs.
