Hi,

I try to use the panning board for Service tickets . My biggest concern is, how to define vacations/absenses for the diffent employees?

Right now, I can assign a ticket to someone, whio is on leave or sick without seeng this in the ressource planner.

My plan for a workaround was to use dummy tickets and assign the employees to it. This is also a nightmare!! Assume I want to spent 2 week on vacations --> I have to calculate how much working time is in this Duration --> create a work request with this time --> assign it to a dummy ticket !!! Next problem is that I cant assign more than 8hrs to an employee, so I have to make multiple assignment!

I cant believe, that this is all what SAP delivered as a planning board. Hoping that someone tells me a hidden Feature I don't know ;-)

Cheers

Jens

Hi,

Have you tried maintaining non-working hours in the Employee record? You must have already maintained working hours for the resource planner to assign Tickets to an Employee (technician).

Hi Jameel,

of corse, I did that. Otherweise you cant assign the emplyee an ticket.

But this oucld not be THE solution SAP provides for Planning and vacations :-(

Hi Jens,

I understand. Let me check if there are other options and post back.

If you have an idea/proposal that would fulfil this scenario, you can also publish this on the C4C ideas page

https://ideas.sap.com/SAPCloudforCustomer. I will give it a Vote Up too :)

Also, just to be sure, maybe I misunderstood your scenario, are you saying you can create an Assignment for a technician despite maintaining non-working hours? OR

you are assigning tickets to employees who are on leave. If it is this scenario, then actually the correct way to do this would be to create a 'Delegate' in the system. So the process here would be, if a user is going on holiday, they can assign a delegate in their absence.

Halo Jameel,

sorry for comming back on this so late .

We are using the ressoucre planning board, to drag and drop tickets to the list of technicans.

The main problem is, that within the panning board I cant see, that a technican is on leave or sick.

I do not want to use delegates... this wont work for the customer.

I simply want to see on a weekly base, which assigments are not possible, because technican is not available.

Please take a look on

I did a small UI5 Demo, to Show HOW it should work. I am Close to the Point, to build my onw planning board... ;-)

Hi Jens,

I support absence, also for meetings, training etc by defining activities like meetings. Advantage is that "blocks" are shown in the planner and by moving the mouse i can see why a person is not avaible for working tickets.
