Hello
I am facing one problem, its like that, whenver i create Record in MDM data Manger by let say user X. MDM stores its creation date & Name.
And when i change or update same record by user Y now, it changes Creation field also from User X to user Y.
Ideally if somebody updates record only Update By- feild should be changed .
Can anyone give me solution for this? .
Thanks

I have contacted SAP on this same issue. There is no corresponding option for a User Create Stamp like there is the Create Stamp for date. The way around this is to set the value up as a User Stamp, then change the field it is using to update on. The Selected Fields are defaulted to All, change this to update on a unique field like part number. That way the user field will only be updated when the unique field is changed, which is shouldnt in most cases.
For setting the create date just use the Create Stamp type instead of the Time Stamp.
Thanks,
Tim

Points will be given for solution
Himanshu,
In the console you set up a User Stamp as usual. The last option for the User Stamp is Selected Fields. The Selected Fields tell the User Stamp when to update. The default option is set to All. Change this entry from all to a unique field that will not be (or rarely) updated, for example a part number. This way the User Stamp will only update when a part number is changed, not when any other info is changed.
The Create Stamp will work as you wish and only be populated on the original creation of a new record.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Tim
Hi Himanshu ,
SP04 provides a new feature on this. Open console and check the creation fields. You should see an attribute called "selected fields". Change this attribute to a fields that changes only once (most propaply you can use a Auto ID field). This ensures that the create fields isn't changed all the time.
Kind regards
Michael
