Hello

This is my scenario.

I upload data in a ByD system custom BO using the file upload function.

In the OWL, I have a button with a action "Download". When I push the button, the selected data are formatted using some rules to obtain a file with the following structure :

Header, Item, Trailer, Footer.

And the formatted data are saved into a file which is downloaded in the local computer.

Can this scenario be implemented in Byd using Sap Cloud Application Studio ?

Hello Emmanuel,

I guess the issue is the "File Download" :-)

This should be possible via the control "File Download" from the UI Designer.
You must prepare a elements of your BO to contain the resp. data and map this element in the control.

Obviously. :-)

Thank you.

I will check that in the developer guide.

Do you know if there is any documentation (tutorial, video) about how to implement this control ?

Hello

I have checked the File Download object and I have some questions.

-> it seems it is not possible to add a FileDownload button on the toolbar. I have to put an action or a button. If it is right, how to implement a file download in a button from the toolbar.

-> If I add a file download button, how can I create a file with Header, Items, Trailer and Footer in the File Download Content ? There is no explanation in the developer guide.

Hello Emmanuel,

AFAIK it must be a button / action.

The resp. file represents the content of the bound element.
If I remember right, we used an XML as the content and all tags were in the file.

Thank you.

I will try. If I find the way, I put the solution here.
