User authentication failed

Hi all,

I am running EP 6.0 SP2 PL 27 with SAP J2EE 6.20 .

Our Portal DEV system has been having a problem, Whenever i try to log into portal, it says "User authentication failed". I checked the log files and here is a brief version of log file.

"System_Thread_23 Fatal [class=com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.imp.LDAPConnectionManager][method=initConnectionPool()][cl=13324]connection pool for principal type UACC fails

com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.imp.LDAPDataSourceConnectionPool$ServerNotAvailableException: no connection to the ldap server "

The LDAP, DB, Portal are on different servers. Portal and MS SQL server DB connection pool settings are fine. Please advice.

This happened after we tried to make a image of database with the CPPO (Portal Copy tool), Portal server is up and running and all the UME parameters are unchanged but user is not being authenticated. This is very hight priority , please spare your valuable time to look into this. Any valuable advice is appreciated and points will be awarded.
