Hi,

I'm using BI 2004's with the SP11,

I want to broadcast a query to a PDF format, when I execute my Broadcast I have the following error message.

Error: com.sap.ip.bi.webapplications.runtime.controller.MessageException: The Web template "0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCAST_PDF" does not exist in the master system

Error occurred during processing of framework class CL_RSRD_PRODUCER_PRECALC, type PROD

Do you know why? and where I have to define this template.

Thanks a lot,

Eric

From a technical viewpoint, the query is embedded in the Standard Web Template for Query Precalculation (0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING) which you define in Customizing under SAP Reference IMG--> SAP NetWeaver -->SAP Business Information Warehouse -->Reporting-relevant Settings -->BEx Web --> Determine Standard Web Templates. Here you are also able to determine another Web template, for example with your company logo on it, as the Standard Web Template for Query Precalculation.

Standard settings

The delivered standard Web template (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) is used for ad hoc analysis.

The delivered standard Web template 0BROADCASTING_TEMPLATE is used for BEx Broadcasting.

The delivered standard Web template 0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING70 is used for broadcasting queries.

The delivered standard Web template 0REPORT_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING is used for broadcasting reports.

The delivered standard Web template 0REPORT_DEFAULT_TEMPLATE is used for executing enterprise reports.

Activities

To set your own Web template as a standard Web template for ad-hoc analysis, enter the technical name of the Web template under Ad-hoc Analysis. If you do not specify anything, the delivered standard Web template (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) will be used for ad-hoc analysis.

To set your own Web template as a standard Web template for BEx Broadcasting, enter the technical name of the Web templates under Broadcasting.

To set your own Web template as a standard Web template for BEx Broadcasting for queries for the generation of documents, enter the technical name of the Web templates under Query Precalculation.

To set your own Web template as a standard Web template for reports, enter the technical name of the Web template under Enterpr. Reports.

PS -

Note that if you change settings, you have to restart the J2EE Engine before the changes become effective.

Hope it Helps

Thanks a lot I think my problem is that I didn't restart J2EE engine.

You put in your message Query_template_Broadcasting70. Why the system ask for the template Query_template_broadcasting_PDF.

Thanks

Hi Eric,

The problem is pretty simple. You need to activate the Business Content for the Web Template 0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCAST_PDF.

The process involves going to RSA1->Business Content and doing the activation for the Web Template.

Hope that helps.

I have an issue with this same thing. I activated the 0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCAST_PDF via RSA1. Modified the entry in SPRO for default broadcast template to the 0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCAST_PDF template. When I attempt to run a broadcast I get this error: "Error loading template 0QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCAST_PDF"

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

That precalc error is nonsense. SAP support sent me on a wild goose chase telling me it was a problem with my precalc server (after repeatedly reminding them that only excel is precalculated).

Eventually, it turned out to be a permission/password problem with my ADSUSER account.

We did restart the the engine....no joy.

We have two instances of BW here, don't ask why it's a long story. One is 3.5 the other is a brand new install of 7.0.

It seems the 3.5 works fine with a Z template used for Ad Hoc setting. If I put the same template, which does exist in the 7.0 system, itn the Ad Hoc setting for either view V21 or V27...the same outcome.

System message: "Error loading template ZDEFAULT3"

I am stumpted...

How can it work in 3.x and not in 7.0.

What am I missing....

any suggestions?

Well kind a sounds strange ..

you may wish to check with Note 917950 - SAP NetWeaver 2004s: Setting Up BEx Web as a part of sanity check and if no reply here do raise an OSS with SAP.

Hope it Helps
