Extention Field that copies a field value retroactively

Hello,

My business goal is to be able to report on the Creation Date of Inbound Deliveries.

That data is not readily available in data sources.

My idea was to create an extension field that replicates that field and then to be able to report on that extension field.

I created the extension field, calculated field with calculation rule = Created On (SystemAdministrativeData/CreationDateTime)

The field works when I create new Inbound Deliveries but is empty on existing Deliveries.

Is there a way for this field to be filled out on all existing Inbound Deliveries? Maybe another calculation rule or a way to data load for historical data?

Hi Elisa,

To my knowledge there is no way to recalculate the extension field so that it will update for all previously existing records.

However, have you looked into the confirmation journal report to see if you get the information that you are looking for? The confirmation journal report includes the Created On Date for all inventory transactions. Inbound deliveries can be found in this report by searching for the related inbound delivery notification (Reference Document Type/ID). The reference document type code for inbound delivery notifications is 58.
