SOAP Web Service issue: "BOM / charset detection failed"

Hello Community,

I have an issue when trying to consume a SOAP web service in Business ByDesign. After consuming the external web service, the Business Communication Monitoring displays the following error:

The error 'BOM / charset detection failed' ocurred when parsing an XML fragment

Furthermore, when debugging, the web service response gets filled with the error: "SOAP Serialization/deserialization failed". After some research, I found out that the issue may be connected to the data types in the XML and the data types of ByDesign not matching (usually it's the Time/DateTime/Duration type). These should be all the simple data types in the wsdl file:

At first I thought it might be an issue with the Duration type (as ByDesign uses the PxYxMxDTxHxMxS format), but changing it didn't seem to help. So I guess it might be connected to the Duration, but there is probably something more. Can anyone please assist? Thank you.
