Data Base Migration from Oracle to HANA- SLT Steps

Hi Team ,

We are moving from Oracle to HANA in ECC side using DMO and already have SLT now.

Now question is what are the steps to be taken care from SLT point of view.

Read OSS note :

1933605 - DMIS - Supportmigrationof the source /SLT/ target system, but it only created more confusion to me and thought to check with you on the final steps before we embark on them.

Please let me know what are the steps to be followed: Below is my understanding and clarity on them.

1)Ensure that al tables are in Replication Mode and not in Initial Load mode- Yes

2)De-active the configuration.in LTRC.-Yes

3)Stop the Master job for configuration in SLT.Yes

4)As per 2.1 of the documents, there are 3 steps which are NOT clear for my case ( Oracle to HANA ECC Side)

a)Delete Database triggers.

b)Delete Logging Tables

c) 1:N Registrations.

5) Adjust the RFCs so that it point to new HANA source system- Not Clear. Our basis team are saying that they will change it but i am not sure why should they do it as same system is getting converted from Oracle to HANA.

6)Reset Replication Objects- Not Clear ( We will be using the same configuration after the migration).

7)Reset status for Triggers and Logging Tables - Not clear. If we reset how will the replication works after the migration? Are step 4 and 7 interlinked?. If not let me know.

8)Delete Load/ Replication Objects-Should not be performed guess so as it makes to load the data again from scratch.

9)After that finally activate the configuration again. Yes

Regards,

Rajesh
