Lumira SAML SSO to Hana error "Check the server name and instance ID"

Hi

I am trying to connect to SAP Hana (2.0) from Lumira Desktop (latest version 1.31) using SSO but getting an error "Check the server name and instance ID"

Please see the screenshot.

Interestingly, if I un-check the "Authenticate by Operating System (SSO)" box and provide a valid HANA DB user credentials, it works. So I know the server name and instance ID are correct as opposed to the error message.

I'm logged in to BI Platform in Lumira Desktop as Administrator, so I expect the Administrator credentials to be pushed down to Hana. There is a DB user in Hana that has an external identity of "Administrator" that should be used in this mapping. The connection to it works fine from CMC. Please see the screenshot below.

Background Setup

Hana Authentication from CMC has been setup and I have tested it works ok. The same authentication stack is working from Information Design Tool (IDT), WebI and Rich Client as I am able to just login using my AD credentials or enterprise account and select the connection which shows me Hana content straight away. This connection was setup in the IDT and uses the JDBC driver to connect to Hana but no user credentials are specified instead I have just select the "Single Sign On" option.

At the Hana DB side, I have configured the SAML Identity Provider from the certificate that was generated by CMC (screenshot above). So Hana trusts the incoming SAML connections from BI Platform and it is working in IDT, WebI and RichClient.

I am wanting to achieve the same use case from Lumira so I was hoping that the above stack will just work straight away, but it doesn't. I have read that SAML SSO was supported from version 1.28 onwards to I upgraded to latest version of Lumira Desktop 1.31

Will really appreciate any help to get it to work or any pointers why this may not be working.

Thanks,
Owais
