Link between a production order and a customer order .

I check the MRP view of a material via MD04 and see a production order or a planned order for a material if I follow "pegged requirement" button I end up with the customer order that causes this production order or planned order.

How the system related the production (or planned order) with the definite customer order ?

Is it stored on a table or calculated on the fly ?

When customer give order and then it creates sales order.

depends on material - I mean Finshed good or Comapny own product ,

If it is outside material ,it creates Purchase req and then Purchase order.

if it is company material ,it creates Planned order and then production order.

Check the transaction you will get better idea.

The sales document number will be stored in KDAUF KDPOS in the production order table AFPO.

Lifewise, the same fields will be filled in the planned order in table PLAF.
