I receive a fatal error that I must have a port open in the range of 4520 through 4539. Opening ports is not an option in this environment. How do I get QR 2016 to install without ports open?
According to Developers:
The installer needs to use multiple windows processes to do its work. There are many reasons for this, the most important being because the installer needs to isolate itself from crashes. If part of the installer crashes, we don’t want the entire thing to stop. We use sockets (TCP/IP and port 4520) to communicate between the different processes. If that port is blocked, then the installer can’t do any work because it can’t talk to itself.
One of the options to install and do not break security is to disconnect machine from the network, open ports, install CR, close ports, re-connect to network. You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
