Completely deleting GL acct from system

Hi,

How can I delete the GL account created and have not yet been used at all.I do not intend to have deletion flag but intend to remove it completely from the system

Hi

You can delete gl account master data through transaction SARA

SARA --> FI_ACCOUNT --> Run archive job first and then delete job.

also refer to the transaction DB15 and object FI_ACCOUNT, you can see from which table data can be deleted.

Above is the only standard process to delete gl account master data from the system.

You can also write a program to delete entries from the tables mentioned in DB15

You can use TCODE: OBR2 & OBY8

This is possible only if no transactions posted to particular GL

If it is already posted with transaction data....then no chance of deleting completely..only you can mark the GL for deletion flag

I believe this can be done by using SARA and the delete option.

Can you confirm if this is correct.

Hi,

- use FS00/FS06 to mark the GL account for deletion in COA/CC

- log of creation and deletion exists and it cant be wiped out
