Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error While Saving to Platform As Dashboard Object 4.2 SP3

I have a dashboard .xlf file around 2.2MB.

Connection: BIWS
Dashboard Ver.: 4.2 SP3
MS Office: 2007

I have no problem previewing it on the PC.

But then when I tried to save to platform, it hit runtime error.

Found a similar post but no working solution is provided and went to archived

Any idea what's wrong?

**I had found some possible solutions found online:-
1. Run Dashboard as administrator
2. Reinstall Dashboard
3. Reboot PC

But still failed. Your assistance is highly appreciated.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago.
The dashboard on preview worked fine. But it crashed when trying to save to platform with runtime error. At times, I got the error when previewing as well.

I tried everything suggested - repair, install, increased RAM etc... But the issue was caused due to the complexity.

I would suggest you to take a close look at the dashboard design. Set the refresh on latest instance instead of hitting the database. Also check the component mapping to the excel rows. reduce the number of rows mapped if it has more rows than actual data. Try to bring aggregated data in dashboard.

What I did was deleted 1-2 sheets randomly. And a certain 2 sheets were causing problem. When I checked I found that components were mapped to 1k -2k rows on this sheet. On reducing this, I was able to save the dashboard to platform.

Check your dashboard on how you can reduce the complexity. Only then would you be able to save the dashboard to platform.
