Problem in Sending External Mail

Hi all,

I am facing a problem in sending message to the external mail server. My problem is i have created a workflow template and in that i have created a send mail step and in that i am giving a message and the recipient type is email address and the email address is balaji.e@wipro.com.

But i am not receiving any mail to my outlook. The configuration in scot are perfect.

When i tried to send a message from my inbox new message i can able to see the mail in my outlook.

Please help me in this issue, it is very urgent.

Hi,

Goto transaction SOST. See whether the mails sent are available there. If available see the status of those mails. If they are in RED it means they have gone to error. Click on the RED button to get the details of the error in a pop up. For more details click on the "Long Text" button in the pop up.

Act according to the error. If you are unable to resolve, post that long text back in the forum.

Forgot to ask one more thing. I think this should not be a problem as you are able to send out the email properly from SBWP but still wanted to confirm this.

Have you entered a valid email id for the user WF-BATCH? The sendmail step uses this user to send out emails. So you need a valid user id belonging to that domain to be able to send out emails.

Note : For the user WF-Batch there is no email id specified then i specified that and saved it.

Hi BK,

whats ur release/version of SAP and whats your version of Exchange Server,

if its ExchangeServer2003 i have read some forums that they are not compatible .

Hi all,

I solved the problem. I have not noticed the as recipient (domain) for which the configuration is done. It is done only fot the corparate mail server is configured and rest of all are blocked.
