SAP Gateway and ECC password

Hi everyone.

I am having some problems in my scenario with sap gateway. I'm making the callings from sap ecc to sap gateway server. The question is, How can the password be the same in both of server?

Hi Enio,

Why do you want the passwords to be same? As I understand, your mobile app will access only the Gateway system, so user just needs to authrnticate with the Gateway system.

Yes, the user is gotta authenticate in Gateway system, however, my backend is in my ECC system. What I'd like to know is if there is any way to use the same password from ECC system in Gateway, It, as I've said, would avoid the user to maintain two passwords.

You may have to use third party solutions like SailPoint - IdentityNow to achieve this.

Hi,

by default your connection between ECC and Gateway should be trusted, therefore you should not be even interested if the password is the same or not.

I was wondering if there is some way to keep the same password in both of servers because I'm developing a mobile app which uses the gateway services. It would avoid that the user had to have two passwords.

Hi,

I just read your answer again.

You don't need to synch password between Gateway and ERP system. Trusted connection means you need only to authenticate to Gateway. User wi be automatically authenticated in ERP even if the password are different.
