Does anyone know a way to group free characteristics together in the navigation pane, the same way they are grouped together in the dimensions of the InfoCube? Other than using a naming convention.
The goal is to make it easier for the end user to find the required free characteristic.
Thanks,
József.
Dear József,
By standard the grouping is done in the "time order" in which your InfoObjecst have been added to the query. The only way to change that order in a workbook or web application is to do it manually - as far as I know. Unfortunatelly, there is no way to separate free characteristics from characteristics in rows or columns. You just can change the appearance of the navigation block.
In a BEx workbook it can be done by drag & drop. In a web application it can be done via property "List of Characteristics" for the corresponding navigation block web item.
Greetings,
Stefan
