ALV Grid Sel_Mode

What should be the value of sel_mode attribute for a simple column selection?

I've already checked 'A' value for multiple selection.

I tried 'B' but the selection field doesn't appear.

Has anyone got an idea??

column selection does not require selection mode,

just select column heading and entire column will be selected.

Selection mode is for selecting cell/ multiple cells/row.

You have to hold the Control(CTRL) button on key board to select multiple columns , I guess the sel_mode option is only to validate if we can select multiple rows or not

I need that my alv doesn't allow multiple selection.

Can i do that???
