Hi All
We have successfully upgraded from 3.5 to 2004s and the technical (back end) has gone without any major hitches.
I am now going to start going through the front end and as there is quite a lot of new things here i was wondering if anyone had a kind of good checklist of essential things that need checking etc.
Maybe someone has a setep by step check for this.
Regards
Andy

Hi People
Thanks for your replies etc.
However, I am not afetr a checklist of the new things in NW2004s and its great capabilities etc.
What I am after is a checklist of what you people did after you had installed it to make sure it was working ok.
Like i made one when i checked the back end for example
1. Check source system in BW
2. Replicate source systems in BW
3. Activate all transfer structures in BW
4. Check source system in R3 and SRM
Someone must have a kind of a structured list of the things they did to check the NEW front end after the upgrade
Regards
Andy
Andy,
Things to check following an upgrade for the front end as follows:-
Execute query in BEX Analyzer, Query Designer, does it run correctly with variables?
Create a new basic query with restrictions, etc.
Does the query syntax check correctly?
Use cell editor, etc?- works fine?
Variables- are they working?
Complex structures- do they work fine?
Can go on for ages but working closely with the reporting team should help greatly.
Cheers,
Pom
