Transformation mapping - unmapped fields set to blank

We are 2004s BI 70 SP 10. When we used a transformation for updating only some fields in a ODS, the load updated unmapped fields to blank values. The datasource is a flatfile. The purpose is to update some fields from file leaving other fields untouched.

Any input on this would be appreciated.
