Fetch contents of infoobject in abap

Hi

Is it possible to fetch the contents of an infoobject from ABAP?

The infoobject 0COSTCENTER contains the cost center hierarchy and I want to somehow access that hierarchy from ABAP.

Is there a function module or a class to handle this?

Regards,

Jacob Vennervald

    Hi Jacob.

You can get the master data directly from the master data tables. For 0COSTCENTER these will be /BI0/PCOSTCENTER and /BI0/QCOSTCENTER for time dependant master data.

You can find the hierarchy data in these tables:

    /BI0/HCOSTCENTER

    /BI0/KCOSTCENTER

    /BI0/ICOSTCENTER

    /BI0/JCOSTCENTER

    Hope it helps.

if you just want the hierachy details of 0costcenter you can use FM (no need to create the query) RSSH_HIERARCHY_READ . However this has a small limitation where you cannot read part of hierarchy, it will always give you the whole hierarchy details. if you want to read partial hierarchy let me know, i had a z FM which can read costcenter or costelement hierarchy (with node and cc text) and also supports reading partial hierarchy
