Hello All,

I created an Application which will call a BAPI ,aceept input from the user and deliver the Output.

But when I'm executing this Application I'm getting the following Runtime Exception.

com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Error while obtaining JCO connection.

Can anyone help me out in resolving this ?

Hi,

go into Web Dynpro Console and check if the JCo connections are in the ready state (are Green). If so test them and read on the bottom of the page the result.

Hope this helps you.

Hi,

logon on the EP and go under Content Admin -> Web Dynpro -> Mantain JCo Destinations.

In the table at the center of the Portal Content Studio you'll see all the JCo prensent into your Web AS Java.

You can filter them by application using the combo.

After you have viewed your application's JCo press the corresponding button TEST and read the result on the bottom of the page.

Reward points for helpful answers.

Hello Gianluca Barile ,

I'm not able to see any WebDynpro component under Content Admin.

I think the role is not assigned to me.

Should I contact the System Administrator ?

Hi deepu,

YES you must logon as System Administrator if you want to see and check the JCo Destinations.

If you don't have this permissions ask to your Admin to check the JCo for you.

Hello Gianluca barile ,

Is the path mentioned by u is full ?

( Content Admin -> Web Dynpro -> Mantain JCo Destinations. )

Bcoz even my Customer/Client doesnot have the WebDynpro tab for him though he has the System Administration Role.

Hi,

that path is referred to the logon as SYS ADMIN.

You dont't see it because you don't have that Role.

hi deepu,

did you logged into portal with Administrator user id

if so u can find the web dynpro content administrator under content administrator role

even if u cant see this then might be your EP version problem

can u specify which EP version u r using
