Reference for FMS

Dear Experts,

Is there is any resource where we can refer the process flow for FMS with detailed procedure to create Article, BOM , routing etc for FMS.

Thanks Vibhor , the variants are created at article level. But not created at BOM level. When the BOM is maintained for the generic article and tried to maintain the deviations for the combination of characteristics , the drop down seems to have no characteristics.

When the routing is maintained , the variants got assigned to the routing based on the characteristic combinations. Please advice.

Thanks Vibhor for the information. But more than the configuration details need some information like how to create variants for the genericBOM , how create routing for the generic materials and its variants , planning the variants would be helpful.

As mentioned earlier Variants are automatically created by system when you create generic article with variant relevant characteristic. You don't need to maintain explicit BOM for this.

Always refer SAP best practices to understand any procedural or configuration steps.

Content library with process and configuration documents are available at this link. This link is applicable for IS retail but as FMS is based on IS Retail most of the documents will be relevant for you. You won't find FMS specific process like Segmentation, Season, Allocation run though.
