Window Server 2003 for Small Business

Can anyone answer a question whether window server 2003 for small business is an suitable platform for SAP software. As we are getting conflicting advice in the SAP online documents etc. An SAP support can not answer this question and advised us to lodge this question on the forum.

    Hello Tony,

according SAP installation guide following versions are supported for SAP software

    - Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

    - Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

    - Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition

You can find this information in "Requirements checks" in any Installation guide.

Furthermore it is strongly recommended to use 64-bit Windows version (details in the SAP note 996600) for new product installations.

Small Business Version of W2003 is specially targeted version (see limitations on:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows_Small_Business_Server_2003#Small_Business_Serverhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows_Small_Business_Server_2003#Small_Business_Server">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows_Small_Business_Server_2003#Small_Business_Server>

), but not supported for SAP productive installations.
