"XIRWBUSER" is occasionally locked

Hi,There

I am using XI 7.0 and no SP ,no Patch.

My problem is that "XIRWBUSER" is occasionally locked.

Usually, This Standard user ( XIRWBUSER ) is working fine, but

occasionally locked.

I don't know why.

Hi-

Try unlocking XIRWBUSER user from su01. In su01 u will have a lock button which will show u the status if the user is locked or not.

You can unlock it from there.

Of course, I know the way how I unlock this user.

Hi Miru,

Since XI service user/pwd is maintained in multiple places , this could happen.

One possible reason might be that u have different XIRWBUSER password maintained for different systems and after a change in the password this change is not reflected everywhere.

There might be some RFC Destinations still using the same old password.

Goto tcode SM59 of XI system and check if the same user is used for any RFC destinations. Few RFC destinations are defined for the system like SAPSLDAPI. Ensure that you have changed the password everywhere.

Hi-

The XIRWBUSER user may get locked if you have mentioned wrong passwords for the same user at Different places

There might be someother RFC Destinations still using the same old password. Goto SM59 of XI system and check if the same user is used for any RFC destinations. There might be few RFC destinations are defined for the system like SAPSLDAPI etc. but u will not have probelm with SAPSLDAPI. Ensure that you have changed the password everywhere.

I solved this problem.

As you mentioned it, I changed password in the Exchange profile and SM59.

Locking problem have not occured until now although I have to watch it.

in case you have changed your password for the service user please make sure you ref: sap note: 721548 !!! Go thru the checks in the same. It can be the reason for your user getting locked.

Hi,

Did you change the password of the background user, XIRWBUSER?

if yes, you need to change the password in both the Exchange Profile on XI and in SU01.

Also check if this Connection is being used in any other system ,connection , background job etc. If yes, make sure that the password here is correct.

Check in ST22 , SM58 etc for dumps that can help you understand the cause of this issue.
