Solution manager 7.2 - Managed objects in template maintenance

Hi Experts,

I am creating a custom template for sys monitoring in Solution manager 7.2 .

Under standard objects, I see the four options as below

1) Database

2) Host

3) Technical Instance

4) Technical system

For ABAP system ECC 6.0 ehp7 ( 7.40) central instance, from which option I should create a template for monitoring metrics/events/alerts.. either Technical Instance (or) Technical system.

Please clarify. I would appreciate all your help and inputs.

Hello Daniel,

In NW 7.4, you will have a standalone ASCS and CI with few dialog instance if you have configured.

For ASCS - Under Technical Instance(ABAP Central Services)

For CI, 2 need to be created, one under Technical instance(ABAP 7.1 and Higher) and another under Technical system(SAP ABAP 7.1 and Higher).
