STock Transport Order config - Storage loctaion to storage location

Hi All - Hope everybody is doing well.

I need soem help in understanding this issue:

1) I know about plant to plant STO and how deos it work and we tested it in teh sandbox.

2) My issue is if we have 1 central plant with 65 + storage loctaion spread all over teh province and if I wanted to use STO for stock transfer, how we cna do that? In the IMG menu foe the config of STO there are some nodes for Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations an dI treid bu tit didn't worked.

My question is it possible to use STO between storage location within the same plants? an dif yes what are the settings required for that?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can set up the storage location to storage location STO. It works exactly like the Plant to Plant STO. However, Storage location STO is not activated in the standard system. Once you activate the option, you get an addition field (Issuing Storage Locaion) in your STO document.

Rest all config is similar to Plant to plant STO.

Hi ,

I feel u want to use STO for material planning purpose .You can think of using stock transfer reservations in stead of STO purchase orders. And also I feel for your requirement , you won't be able to use STOs

Use mov type 311 for one step, 313-315 for two step while doing transfer posting .
