Compare tables from two systems.

Hello All,

We are having an issue with IT0009, inorder to resole the issue we need to compare the table PA0009 from our production system with our QA system. We need to find the changes.

For config table we can compare the table using menu option Utilities -> Compare. But how do we compare table for PA0009 table? We can not do this manually as we have more than 300000 employee records.

Hi,

Lets say u want to compare between ur QA and production client.

1. Login to ur QA client and go to Transaction - scmp

2. In the view /table field : enter the table u need to compare.

3. In the R/3 connection field : Enter ur production system

4.check the display difference only check box.

5. Finally hit comparison.

This should produce a list which basically shows difference in tables btw the 2 systems.

Hello All,

When I am comparing two tables from two different verrsions ( 4.6c and 5.0 ), I am getting a message "cannot covert structure of keyfields".

when I compare both Unicode systems or Both Non-Unicode systems, then this is working fine but the other way it is giving me this message. Is there any other way to deal with this situation?

Is there any job scheduled for maintaing copy of production data in QA?

No there is nothing. We will be refreshing the system from production every month ending using a backup from production.

We recently upgraded our system from 4.6 to 5.0 ( last week ). We are also having our old 4.6 QA system. After the upgrade for many of the IT0009 there are some differences in our new system. When we compare the system with the old system we have differences in IT0009. There is a new IT0009 record created for many of the employees after the upgrade.
