R3 Users

I have configured the portal to users to use Read Only SAP system + Database data source. The users appear when I serach for them in the user administration tab. The problem is that I cannot log on the portal using r\3 users. What do I need to do to enable this.

Hi,

Did you change the UM configuration from Database Only to SAP System + Database ? Did you use datasourceconfiguration_abap.xml ?

Does the same user exist on Portal too ?

Hi,

No, it has to be either on the backend system or in the Portal Database. If you have the users on both Portal and R3, it gives this error message User authentication failed.

Thank you Sunil. The problem was that I had the same users in R3 and portal. After remove the portal users, I was able to log on. I have awarded the points.
