Restore standard SAP Gateway OData service after self-redefinition...

Dear community,

Much appreciate your help in advance!

Doing my first steps with SAP Gateway OData services redefinition and made a mistake - redefined the standard service itself which lead to an empty metadata of the service. Tried to afterwards redefine the service the correct way with new project and new service generation - the new service also returns empty metadata.

Thanks to atanu.mallik2 he explained what happens when you redefine the same service not through the new one.

"in Gateway you need one project for one service. One service has its specific set of classes and configurations. Now if you try to redefine the Same service created in the same project, with new generated configurations and classes under the same project, the original service will be lost. The new service will try to access its parent which will not be existing anymore. So you need to create a new project and then you need to redefine the service from the old project in the new project."

Kindly ask you to suggest what can be done to restore the initial state of the standard service with no restore from the back-up.

Thank you!

Vladislav

Transport from another system where the service is still in it's original form. During import, overwrite unconfirmed repairs

Hi,

To retain the standard service, in /n/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE, the original parentservice will be still existing. Just activate that service by adding the service option in the header and search for the service and it has its configurations set in master tables of /IWBEP and can be accessed again.

Thanks,
