Hi Experts

I have a SAP Adobe form for delivery document. It is generated in VL02n.

In the form we are displaying a challan number and I have created a custom number range for this challan number.

So whenever the Adobe form is generated a challan number in generated and printed on the form output. My problem is if I trigger the form for the same Delivery note multiple times the challan number should remain same. How can I achieve this?

Thanks

Gopal

Is that not happening currently? If not, that is an issue and your ABAP team needs to look into this as to why the smartform is not fetching the challan number

Agree with G Lakshmipathi that this is a code issue in the smartform.

What is the business significance of the "Challan number"?

Discuss with the key user about the criteria when a new number should be generated?

Not sure if you have understood my question. Challan number is just a custom field that we have created for our purpose.

The value for challan number is filled using a custom number range which also we have created

Now we want same number to be generated per delivery note. Currently it generates a new number every time we execute the form via vL02N for the same delivery note. Do we need to setup anything in number range to control this?

You don't need to setup anything in the number range.

Example:

SAP Delivery #100 printed the first time, challan number printed on the delivery note is 5000

SAP Delivery #100 printed the second time, challan number printed on the delivery note is 5070 , and so on

Business need:

SAP Delivery #100 printed the first time, challan number printed on the delivery note is 5000

SAP Delivery #100 printed the second time, challan number printed on the delivery note should be 5000

SAP Delivery #100 printed the how many ever times, challan number printed on the delivery note should be 5000

If business need is the above, then you need to create a custom table with SAP Delivery # and Challan number as columns. And write a code for the smartform to check the SAP Delivery # in the table, if present then print the same challan number corresponding to this SAP Delivery.
