Email Address Validation

Hi all,

I want to validate email address in my programs.

This mail address is a internet mail address.

My validations includes,

1. If the user has entered @

2. If the user has entered proper web address (.com, .net, etc)

Is there any function module which can be used to validate the same?

I'm working on SAP R/3 4.7.

I tried using REG EX classes but they are not available in SAP R/3 4.7.

Please help.
