Embed UI Patterns in Web Dynpro View

Hi All

I'm looking for a way to embed UI Patterns in Web Dynpro Views, kind of how one would create a CL_GUI_ALV_GRID in a container in an ABAP program.

I'd look to be able to, for instance, have a search bar in the middle of my own view elements.

I know how to create a UI Pattern in a <i>new</i> window, programmatically from within a Web Dynpro Controller, but how can I create the UI Pattern in the current view?
