Hi Experts,

Our finished product is a bottle, We keep 20 bottles into a Box. This Box will have a separate Label to track.

Need some suggestions to handle this situation.

1) Should we create another Production Order to put these 20 bottles in a Box

2) Should we have a separate operation for keeping 20 bottles in a box in the Original Production Order for the Bottle

3) Do we have any other approach to handle this situation.

Appreciate your valuable suggestions for above queries.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hello Aditya,

1. First think You need to define alternate Unit of measure for FG material code in material master--> additional data--->Unit of measure tab.So as and when you want to see the stock it will show in both unit in MMBE e.g EA and BOX.

2.Second think if you want separate information related to packing process of the bottles in system then you need configured another order type for reporting purpose if your material code is different for Packed and without packed bottles.

3.Third if the material code is same for both packed and non packed bottles then you can configured 1 order with heading of production process and packing with 2 operations in routing i.e 1st production operation and 2nd is Packing operation.

Regards.
