Crystal Reports Item labels

SAP,

I have reviewed the answers to this question online and in other posts. I mucked around for days with script in MSSQL Server to create a recordset with the appropriate information as well as defining fields in crystal with a .ttx file. Field values were showing up in the report however when trying to add parameter fields repeatedly got the 'field is not bound' error.

I had to write custom code in our database to create a table with multiple records for each item based on a quantity field to get the thing to work.

It is clear that their is great demand for this functionality and that depending on a user's database the solutions are varied and time consuming.

I find it absolutely bizarre that the functionality does not exist in crystal reports to duplicate records based on a quantity field. Why is this functionality no there? Is there plans for it? Sort it out it can't be that hard.

TTX database fields and DB driver are legacy, convert to XML using the ADO.NET driver.
