Deliver output of Batchjobs to end-user in Excel or Dbase format

Hello group,

we have an increasing request from end-users to run reports in background at night and have the result sent to the them in Spreadsheet (Excel) or Dbase format.

At the moment, the reports are put in CSV (Comma-separated values) format on the IFS of the Iseries and the users have to run an FTP procedure.

We are looking for a more transparent way to do this. We hate to give all these users Iseries login names to get their files.

Could anyone point me in the right direction for this requirement ?
