SUGR is for maintaing User group. here you can create user groups and assign in SU01 --> logon data.

    Hello Mogileeswara,

SUGR is the transaction creating and maintaining user groups. Then these user groups can be assigned to the users wither through SU01 or through SUGR itself.

Technically nothing very special but from organization it is very useful and I would say critical.

Suppose the organization implemmenting SAP has several subsidaries based on which you need to distinguish between users. This you can do based on user groups. Create a one to one relationship between user group and subsidary for this.

Then in case of user licensing also it is critical. For example if all the subsidaries are supposed to pay for user licenses of their individual users then user group can be used to find out which users works for which subsidary and then licensing cost can be effectively distributed.

    Regards.

    Ruchit.
