country field error during customer creation XD01

Hi every one ,

i have small error coming up while creating customer (XD01). i tried to create customer but in the address tab even after entering the country as US it displays an error saying "ENTER COUNTRY" and clears of all the fields . please let me know how to solve this error ...

am216 is the error message which i saw when i pressed technical info from help button of that error dialogbox..
