connection with license server failed[message 60070-15]

hai,

when i select the server and comany name click the ok button.

then license server selection box appeared.ask the server name or server

ip address. then give the server name click the ok button.

error occured.

error:connection with license server failed.

Hi Anand,

the licence server doesn't necessarily run on the same machine as the database. Make sure to enter the server name of the licence server, not the database server.

Also check, if you have selected the right port (usually 30000).

The B1 user needs to have a licence assigned. If this is not the case and the user is no superuser, first login with a superuser and assign a licence to the user.

With command nslookup <servername>.<domainname> you can check, if the resolution of servername to IP-address is correct.

Hi,

if yr licence server have XP or 2003 then check the firewill,

add the port 30000 or u specify in server installation

in XP - Control panel - WindowsFireWall - Exception - Add Port - <PortNo>,<Name>.

Try with ip address some times dont work if you tray to use a server name

if dont work. You need to Uninstall your License server and install overnew.

and its better if you have new key.

be carefull..may be your Lincense Services is stopped!!

Trying to restart your License Services (in case the problem is that)
