Single Sign not working between EP6.0 and Web AS 640 Application

Hi,

We are to do single sign on between EP6.0 SP19 and WAS 6.40 SP9 Application. The EP6 is on SP19 and has kerberos for single sign on configured. The UME is connected to Microsoft ADAM. We have another application which is a webdynpro application which is on SP9 which should be available as an iview in the Portal with single sign on to the application. When try to import the certificate of EP6 on to the WAS 640 server the single sign on not working, the users are still prompted to enter the user id and password in the webdynpro application. The same scenario was working before when we had an EP5 system linked to the webdynpro application.

Can anybody say why this is not working?

Regards

Prakash

Hi Prakash

With the details provided by you there could be a lot of reasons why it is not working.

I suggest you check the following checklist and see if you have missed out something.

Hi Goutam,

Thanks for your immediately reply. The link you have given tells about single sign-on between WAS 640 and R/3 backend. But we are trying to do a single-sign on between two WAS 640 j2ee engines one of is a EP6 system and the other is a stand-alone j2ee engine having a webdynpro application.

Both the engines are in the same domain connected to the same UME but still it was not working. The only difference is one on SP19(EP6) and the other is on SP9(WAS 640 StandAlone system).

Well the First Part of the checklist is definitely for an SAP backend but later on are some standard issues which could be related to you, like a FQDN, Domain Relaxation.

Anyways, your systems are on the same Domain and and connected to the same UME which makes it quite an easy to integrate scenario.

Go through these links, which may offer some more information:

Please let us know whether you were able to resolve the issue.
