Restrict authorization to a field in FB02

Hi all,

I'm trying to restrict authorization to field in FB02 for only certain users to be able to modify the field. Is the below configuration for Field Groups for Documents the correct way to restrict access? If so, to which authorization object would you assign the field group value to?

Field group may not work as it applies to all Users, You can refer SAP Note - 2157770 (Extract below) if it helps. As per Note no standard solution available. You can also check link with similar discussion - SU20

Symptom

In T-codes FB02/ FB09, in a document some of the fields such as payment terms, payment block, payment method etc. are opened up to allow changes if users can access this T-code. However you would like to restrict to some users whereby they can only allow changes in some of the fields.

Reproducing the Issue

T-codes FB02/ FB09

Cause

Authorization objects are not field dependent, only activity dependent. So some of your users have authorization to change documents but within that authorization you want them to be able to change certain fields like the payment terms etc. Only some of your users should be able to change those fields within that group of users who have change authorization. Unfortunately, this is not possible in SAP Standard. We only restrict authorizations based on activities which can be found in table TACTZ. We do not restrict based on fields.
