Hi,

WAS - web application server is a central engine of XI

XI needs to have both ABAP and JAVA WAS

>>>>Where it wil come in to the Picture while we r doing any scenario in the real time????/

think of WAS as an XI's main engine

hi,

>>>>Here in WAS we have Web AS ABAP 6.40 and Web AS JAVA 6.40

WAS ABAP - on this part you have XI's integration engine

so all messages are being processed in this part

(you access it via SAPgui)

>>>>Web AS JAVA 6.40

this is a part on which the whole adapter framework is created

so all adapters work on this part (mail, jdbc, SOAP etc)

this is why we have two WASes on XI
