Raghuram,

I completed Email setup using OSS Note 455127 - E-mail (SMTP) , but I would like to setup this email for daily alerts in solution manager system.

How we can implement this ? Basically we need to setup alerts for all systems in the solution manager and needs to perform automatic email to basis team with out performing manual health check and email manually...

please suggest me, if any idea..

Hi Srinivas,

In the alert monitor (RZ20) you can add a method "Email on Alert".

It requires some configuration but then you can simply email the basis team automaticly with all technical problems, or problems in the near future (proactive maintenance). CCMS runs about every 20 to 60 seconds so it's sort of a realtime monitoring.

When using a CEN you should configure your satalite systems to give an alert to the CEN which can email it to the basis team immediatly.

Hope it helps, regards,

Sjoerd Lubbers ,

Thanks for your input. I am trying to register CCMS agent (SAPCCM4X) for one of Satellite system (ABAP).

But I have few doubts while input the following information.

Client level should be 000 ?

If I input any typo or invalid input shall I go back and redo?

client [000] :

user :

language [EN] :

hostname of E02 message server :

use Load Balancing [n]/y ? :

hostname of application server :

system number (00 - 98) [00] :

[optional] route string :

trace level [0] :

please enter password for [E02:000:<USER>]:

Basically this system is ABAP system and I thought I need to register only SAPCCM4X agent. But after register SAPCCM4X the following message displayed. Shall I need to register this one? If it is I am having an issue with password.

/********************************************************************

This CCMS agent program sapccm4x is able to actively report

alert data into the monitoring system [SID].

To enable this feature, you have to setup the user CSMREG

in [E02]. (refer to SAP Online-help, search for 'CSMREG').

Alternatively use any user in [E02] that has at least authorization ).

to call per RFC function groups

SALC, SALF, SALH, SALS, SAL_CACHE_RECEIVE, SCSMBK_DATA_OUT,

SCSMBK_RECONCILE, SCSM_CEN_TOOL_MAIN, SYST, RFC1

After entering the RFC logon info for the user, the password

will be stored here on this machine in a Secure Storage.

client [000] :

user [CSMREG] :

language [EN] :

hostname of <SID> message server [] :

use Load Balancing n/[y] ? : n

hostname of application server [] :

system number (00 - 98) [00] :

[optional] route string :

trace level [0] :

please enter password for [SID:000:CSMREG]:

***************************************************************************

Hi Srivas,

No problem to deregister an agent:

sapccmsr -U [ pf=<complete path of agent profile file> ]

I think configuration can be done in any client, it is advised to use the default: 000

Make sure you have selected the right CCMS agent (lots of info on help.sap.com):

<b>SAPCCMSR</b>

Components with no SAP instance and J2EE Engines with SAP Web AS 6.20;

Central monitoring system as of SAP Release 4.6B

<b>SAPCCMSR –j2ee</b>

Java instances as of SAP Web AS 6.30

Central monitoring system as of SAP Web AS 6.40

<b>SAPCCM4X</b>

ABAP instances as of SAP Release 4.X;

Central monitoring system as of SAP Release 4.6C

<b>SAPCM3X</b>

SAP systems with SAP Release 3.X

Below in your screenshot you had to register it twice. Probably one for the local monitoring and one for the CEN (Central Monitoring System). This is optional but will not harm anything.

Have a great day,

Hi,

Check this Note 455127 - E-mail (SMTP) in different SAP releases

Hope this will solve your problem.
