Hi,

I haven't found any information about the licensing model for xMAM 3.0. Can someone give me some details?

Thank you and regards,

Florian

Hi Florian,

I am an SAP person and seeing it from iside (maybe external consultants can give you more details) - there is no straight answer to your question. Basically, the answer is - it depends.

Hi Larissa,

it depends on what?

If I have an ERP2005 system, am I able to set up xMAM for "free" (no license fees for the xMAM client)?

Thank you and regards,

Florian

Hi Florian,

it depends on if client buys full Netweaver license or just one MAM application. There are numerous discount schemes.

If you have ERP2005 which means I suppose Netweaver and R/3 in the same box... I am not sure. My 90% chances guess will be that MAM will be extra money.

You should discuss this with SAP Customer Engagement Manager who is supporting your customer account within SAP. He can investigate what kind of license was negotiated when customer got ERP lisences.

Don't forget to discuss DB lisence when discussing MAM (as MAM3.0 does not give a choice of free File I/O or DB2E - only DB is supported).

Cheers,

Larissa

Hi Larissa,

thank you for your help about the licensing. As I'm working in external consulting we have to check this.

Thank you and regards,

Florian
