Reservation Cancellation

Dear All

How can i Remove the reservation from the Material in Bulk.(Not 1 by 1.)

Without impacting the other changing in record.Reservaton which one is not posted in last year.or may be some of material is posted in single resevation.

Try using the transaction Code MBVR.

Hi,

Just to add to Sriramachandra post, If the reservations are created for Production order then it cannot be managed through "MBVR".

For such cases you need to set "TECO" status for Prodcution orders which are never going to be executed. You could use "COHV" transaction for this purpose.

Hi Pankaj,

COHV is a mass transaction where in you can select orders based on "selection critera" what you mention in the intial screen. You need to use function "Technical Completion". and exectue.

Could you please tell us as which open reservations you are trying to close? Is it manual reservation created using transaction "MB21" or "Reservations created from orders". What would be your selection critera to say that this reservation needs to be closed?

This would help us to understand the situation better to give right answer.

Hi Pankaj,

I would first suggest you to run "MB25" to get a list of open open for a Material/Plant combination.

From the List you need to biforcate to "Manually" created reservation and "System" created reservation for production orders. The key field which you need to look at in this report is "RCa" - Reservation Category ("F" for orders") and "Account Assignment" .

I take the output of this report and prepare two worklist one with RCa = F, which I can close only through setting "TECO" status for the production order, here I get the validation of the production orders to be set with status "TECO" from business. This Production orders I give as Input in transaction "COHV' process the list with function "Technical Completion" active.

Other ones which are manually reserved can be processed through "MBVR" to close the reservation.

Dear Prashob,

We are facing problem by cancellation of reservations by the end users. We creates PR based on the reservation by end users either individually or through MRP run and proceed for procurement. But end users are cancelling reservations before getting the delivery of materials after placing PO. This is unnecessarily adding value to the inventory. How can we prevent the same?
