Material Ledger Accounts

Hi Masters:

I'm trying to implement Material Ledger in my company.

I have a doubt about the management of the accounts asociated to ML.

I know that there are transaccional keys like PRY, PRV, PRD that must be activated. I have asociate it diferents FI accounts. My question is...those FI accounts must be Primary Cost elements too?. Are those accounts, P&L accounts?

I don't understand how the system work with those accounts. All the documentation that i have, explain me how are the PRY and PRV accounts movements in FI, but it don't explain me how that's working about PRD, and how work on CO module.

I really apreciate if somebody could help me.

It's urgent for me.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

Only the PRD accounts needs to be set up as a Primary Cost Element which you can assign to a Profitability segment.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your answer.

But, I'd like to know what about with the other accounts?

Those must be only FI accounts, or exist a depends?

For example, I have ROH material under V condicion price. I understand that when I have diferents prices between GR and IR, those diferences are posted on PRY account. If I don't have created this account like cost element, How it become to CO and CO-PA?

best regards

Hi Rodrigo,

You are right. If the General modifier is blank for PRA, PRV, etc, then you should create this account as a Primary cost element which will pass to CO.
