unique data records

experts,

any body has idea why does the unique data records setting in DSO not working in 2004s.

I mean whether i check the setting or not, the data getting loaded in DSO is same.

any idea.

i don't have any update rules.

i defined a data source,DSO and transformation between them

Insert one duplicate record ( record with same key) and load and see the effect.

here is what i did

a1 b1 c1 d1

a1 b1 c2 d2

first two are keys(a1&b1)

when i loaded these two records the result is a1 b1 c2 d2(even if check the unique data records chck box or not)

still the result is same

Though the request with duplicated records loads successfully, activation of that request will lead to an error. Did you activate those duplicate values?

I'm not on NW04S yet.

Perhaps 'unique data record' means that all the characteristics in the record is checked for uniqueness. Just a guess.
