Load confirmation

Hello Gurus,

Working on delta loads-

The delta load on 03/11/2007 fails due to loss of connection between R/3 and BW

I repeated the delta on 03/12/2007. How do I make sure that the 03/11 load and 03/12 load have been successfully posted to BW?

Is there a mechanism in R/3 which tells which load was dispatched on which date and how many records it contianed.

(I guess RSA3 will only give us number of records ready to be dispatched currently and not the prior dates)

Please help.

Hi,

When you go to the monitor on the infopackage, you have an option of choosing the time period within which you want the logs to be displayed. All logs will be stored, & through the logs, you can find out the no of records that were loaded.

You can also go to transaction RSMO & find all logs for Data Load Monitors.

This is true. But this happens on BW side.

Whereas I want to confirm that a particular data load in R/3 has been dispatched properly.How is this done. Please reply.

Hi,

There are two ways you can do this. In BW, you can check the extraction monitor, & if you find a message which says data packets received, & if the status is green, then the data has been sent from R/3. Else you can use transaction bdm2. I have not used it, but i think it should help.

Thnx. But I am not sure how bdm2 works. I tried using it, but am not getting any genuine outputs. Would try something else.
